Increasing Sales & Consumer Awareness for Consumer Electronics Manufacturers
Why The Technology Tailor?
With years in the media, Alex L. Goldfayn has an in-depth knowledge of what electronics products and features consumers want, will like, will gravitate towards, and, ultimately, will BUY.
This is based on thousands of interviews with consumers over a period of about eight years. Almost every day, he's on the phone with consumers talking with them about how they use technology, what they like and don't like, what they wish were improved, what they buy, and why.
As such, Alex can quickly understand and explain whether a product or feature will be a hit, receive a luke-warm welcome, or fail with the consumer market.
As a writer and radio host, he has learned over the years to accurately relay what consumers say (or try to say) about a product or feature to manufacturers so they can understand it. Alex translates process b/w consumers and manufacturers.
Conversely, many times what manufacturers try to communicate to consumers is not understood. The message is not translated effectively for consumers, and sales suffer as a result. Many times the products are excellent, but the way companies educate (communicate) to consumers is not helpful. Often, messaging is overly technical and does not address the most exciting / consumer-relevant parts of the product. Alex can help translate.
Service offerings to Consumer Electronics Companies:
On-Call Industry Analysis & Feedback
Tap Alex's knowledge, experience and understanding of the above to quickly answer any questions your product or public relations team might have.
Messaging Review (For a single product or Entire Portfolio)
Are the proper features / products being touted? Is the right language being used? Is the company addressing the points that consumer really care about? Answering these questions will lead to increased sales and consumer satisfaction.
Portfolio Analysis
An examination of a manufacturers product portfolio. Which products succeed with consumers, which do not? Which products address what consumers are looking for in their electronics? Which ones are way off in targeting consumers wants / wishes?
Also, Alex examine the features of each product and identifies which ones address consumer buying triggers, and which do not. This work can also be applied to the messaging for each product -- how are they being communicated to consumers.
New Product / Concept Development
Let The Technology Tailor put a product idea through its paces. WIll it address what consumers look for when they make a buying decision? He'll analyze it feature by feature, and look at the big-picture possibilities and market opportunities. Will also address messaging.
"What Consumers Want" Workshops
Half-day, full-day or two-day sessions that address what consumers want in relation to individual products or the company's portfolio (depending on the length of the session). Alex also leads interactive sessions to teach attendees about how real people think about their products and what features are most important to them.
Media Tours
The Technology Tailor has been on more than a dozen separate live in-studio television ground tours and radio tours. In his trademark light, engaging and humorous style, Alex discusses the latest technology products and the value they can bring consumers. Alex often tours during back-to-school and Christmas times.
Research Studies
Drawing on his journalism background, Alex conducts qualitative research studies for consumer electronics manufacturers, identifying how consumers use a company's products, what they know / understand about it, and what they wish the products could do. For manufacturers, a Technology Tailor study leads to increased awareness of consumer behavior, experiences, needs and opinions.
Focus Groups
Alex Goldfayn is a radio host and frequently moderates live panels. In a focus group setting, Alex applies his journalism experience to gain consumer insights for manufacturers about their products. |
